Adult Height Predictor


Let us take an "Educated Guess" at what your child's adult height will be. Fill out the form below and click the "Calculate" button. This calculator only works best for children currently between the ages of 4 to 17. This is a FUN calculation and is not an exact indicator of what you child's height will be (see explanation below).

The Explanation: : Using the parents' heights are a good indicator of a child's adult height will be, but heredity only accounts for only about 70 percent of what goes into determining the height of someone. The other 30 percent comes from environmental factors, like eating habits (poor nutrition can "stunt" a child's growth) and exercise patterns (a competitive gymnast may not grow to her full potential). There are also those few exceptions when a child will surprise everyone and turn out much taller or shorter than either parent. This calculator can not account for the rare exceptions. Also, it doesn't account for those children who have a certain physical conditions that affect their height, such as growth hormone deficiency.
